Is it too late to plan a vacation for 2024?

Here we are and it's autumn already. Are you thinking that your major travel opportunities for the year have passed?

After all, it's practically winter and all that is left is skiing, and a few expensive months known as "high season" in the Caribbean.

Well, this week we'll explore the exciting experiential travel opportunities available in late 2024...and there are many.

My first picks for your late 2024 vacation

  • exploring Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, and more on a 19-day cruise over the December holidays;

  • the Galapagos Islands - once the territory of wildlife biologists and explorers only, now you too, can explore;

  • an exclusively chartered, all-inclusive luxury expedition cruise to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands;

  • if you missed your chance to join all the visitors to Italy this summer (or avoided it for that very reason), a (very) small-group journey to Sicily, the Amalfi Coast, and Puglia will let you know you it was worth waiting for;

  • other Mediterranean jewels: Spain, Croatia, Greece, northern Italy. Why limit yourself?

But wait, there's more!

  • Turkey. There will only be 18 of you on this trip...bring your friends or make new ones in a VERY small group;

  • India. Most tourists are familiar with northern India - step out everyone else's comfort zone and explore southern India without a crowd.

  • Nepal and Tibet - from the jungle to the Roof of the World;

  • cultural immersion and mouth-watering delights in Malaysia and Singapore; December dates are still available - a remarkable way to spend the holidays in exotic destinations where unforgettable memories await!

  • Bhutan - meet the happiest people in the world. October and November are a wonderful time;

  • New Zealand And Australia. If you've never been down under, this is your opportunity!

Africa! Let's go...

  • Kenya and Tanzania - the Great Migration!

  • South Africa and Victoria Falls;

  • Botswana and Zimbabwe - see Victoria Falls. Can you say "bucket list"?

  • head north to exotic Morocco and the antiquities of Egypt as you cruise the Nile river like ancient Egyptian royalty;

Don't forget South America...

  • how else will you see Patagonia? There was a time you could only see this wilderness in a National Geographic magazine. Remember that?

  • Chile, Argentina and Brazil;

  • Peru - Macchu Pichu and the Sacred Valley;

Have I painted the picture? It is not too late to plan your flavor of experiential vacation for fall or winter of 2024. Consult your list of life adventures...which one will you do this fall? Will it be a luxury expedition, a group exploration, an exclusively private family journey, or a river cruise?
